BIO

Greg O'Beirne is a Professor of Audiology in Te Kura Mahi ā-Hirikapo | the School of Psychology, Speech and Hearing. He teaches acoustics, anatomy, physiology, electrophysiology, and vestibular disorders into the Master of Audiology programme, and audiology more broadly into Speech-Language Pathology and Psychology programmes. His research interests include audiology, cochlear electrophysiology, the electrophysiological measurement of hearing, and the development of new and improved tests of hearing, speech discrimination (including in te reo Māori), and auditory processing, as well as audible and human-readable symbolic encoding systems for geospatial information.
