RESEARCH INTERESTS

Professor White's early years research is underpinned by dialogic methodologies and visual methods for engaging with children's learning dialogues and advancing pedaogical innovation for ECE teachers - across diverse domains, modalities and in explicit response to SDG goals 3, 4. 6, 10, 13 & 14. 

 

  • Visual/visiblising philosophy, ethics and method(ology) 
  • Dialogic Pedagogy, philosophy and methodology
  • Critical and creative visual and (proto/post) digital literacies for seeing learners
  • Sustainable futures concerning waterscapes and young children as 'kaitiakitanga' (stewards)
  • Infant and toddler reconceptualisations, relational pedagogies and grammars
  • International perspectives and comparative studies on ECE curriculum, pedagogy
