    Member of the MAONZE (Māori and New Zealand English) project which has been investigating changes in the pronunciation of the Māori language since 2003 and continuing through to the present day. Other members are based at the universities of Auckland and Waikato. Our work is the first to document diachronic sound change in an indigenous language undergoing revitalisation. We are also producing a Māori pronunciation aid modelled on the speech of the current generation of older native speakers (ORO22).
