RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Bautista's research interests include visual literacy, visual social semiotics, multimodal literacy, second language reading, first and second language acquisition, diagnosis and correction of reading difficulties, verbal protocol analysis, content area literacy, community literacy, psychology and pedagogy of reading, and critical discourse analytic studies applied to multimodal texts.
