The three main aims of the centre include: Information access, research generation - to initiate, facilitate, and collate violence research activity in New Zealand, and to provide educational opportunities for professionals, groups, and communities that assist and support victims/survivors of violence and abuse and/or provide rehabilitation and other services for perpetrators of violence.
