TEACHING & SUPERVISION SUMMARy

Dr Blakely is committed to creating learning environments that are engaging, supportive, and intellectually challenging. She believes students learn best when complex concepts are connected to real-world problems and when they are encouraged to think critically, question assumptions, and apply evidence to practice. Her teaching aims to develop not only disciplinary knowledge but also the confidence and professional judgement needed to navigate increasingly complex workplaces.

She also believes that higher education should extend beyond the classroom. Through strong partnerships with industry, professional bodies, and community organisations, she seeks to provide authentic learning experiences that enable students to apply psychological science to contemporary organisational and societal challenges. By connecting research with practice, her teaching prepares graduates to make meaningful contributions to organisations, communities, and the future of work.
