RESEARCH INTERESTS
Sanna’s research sits at the intersection of organisational psychology, organisational behaviour, and workplace wellbeing, with a strong focus on how people, teams, and organisations function under pressure. Her work examines organisational resilience, psychosocial safety, leadership, and team dynamics, and how these factors shape employee wellbeing, psychological safety, and overall organisational performance.
Her research interests include:
- Workplace wellbeing and psychosocial safety – mentally healthy work practices, wellbeing frameworks, psychological safety, and organisational strategies that support healthy, high performing work environments.
- Organisational resilience – how individuals, teams, and organisations adapt to disruption, recover from adversity, and maintain performance during change, uncertainty, and crisis.
- Leadership and organisational behaviour – leadership behaviours, team climate, organisational culture, and the social dynamics that influence engagement, performance, and resilience.
- Volunteer and disaster management – resilience and wellbeing in volunteer organisations, emergency response settings, and high stress, high risk environments.
Across these areas, Sanna integrates organisational psychology, applied psychology, and resilience research to understand how organisations can design supportive, sustainable, and resilient work environments where people thrive.
