From 2004 I have attended and participated in the twice yearly numeracy advisors regional meetings. The aim of the meetings is to provide professional development for numeracy advisors and mathematics educators. This includes disseminating research that informs the professional development. This group is steered by the Ministry of Education and provides a valuable opportunity to liaise with and network with colleagues working in mathematics education at a national level. This ensures the work I carry out at UC is informed by national initiatives.

Invitation to present at a seminar held for Canterbury Primary School Principals Association (CPPA), June 2011. Invited to make a presentation based on one theme from my Masters thesis, on the development of mathematical curriculum knowledge of pre-service teachers and the issues they face when on Professional Practice.
