My research interests lie at the intersection of literary studies and digital humanities, particularly in the relations between literary texts and quantitative methods, and ways that these inform or re-frame questions about cognitive and new materialist theoretical approaches to literary studies. I also supervise research more broadly on the application of digital research methods (such as text classification and information extraction) to historical text corpora in Aotearoa New Zealand.
