Description

The Thermo Scientific Nicolet iS20 Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer collects high-quality spectral data and identifies mixture components. Its advanced LightDrive optical engine technology delivers higher spectral resolution (0.25 cm-1) and signal-to-noise ratios (50,000:1) to identify possible contaminants or characterise defects present in small quantities. Further, it features the OMNIC Spectra software, including a library of over 9,000 chemical spectra, to help quickly identify unknowns with innovative multi-component search routines. It can be used in the following areas: polymers; analytical services; quality assurance and control (QA/QC); pharmaceuticals; and gemstone analysis. Spectral range: 7800 to 350 cm-1 (optimised, mid-infrared KBr beam splitter) Spectral resolution: better than 0.25 cm-1 Signal-to-noise ratio: 50,000:1 (peak to peak, one-minute measurements, factory verified)
