Description

Chamber furnace for annealing, hardening and brazing up to 1280°C. Its internal volume is 31 L with heating on three sides: from both side walls and bottom. The bottom heating is protected by a heat-resistant SiC plate. The B500 controller (5 programs/4 segments) provides precise temperature control with a temperature uniformity up to ‡10°C according to DIN 17052-1. The minimum heating rate is 1 ⁰C/h, if RATE option is selected, or (Delta T)/500h, if TIME option is selected. For example: at 10⁰C temperature difference the heating rate would be 0.02°/h. The system includes a protective gas box with internal dimensions of approximately 280 x 230 x 200 mm (w x d x h) for heat treatment of larger workpieces with non-combustible protective gases like argon, nitrogen and forming gas (observe national regulations). The protective box is made of steel 1.4841 (alloy 314). Due to the alloy composition, a sigma phase embrittlement might occur during a long-term use in the temperature range between about 600°C to 900°C. This embrittlement can be avoided by solution annealing (at approx. 1000°C) at regular intervals. Hence, the recommended operating temperature is 800-1100°C. The box includes a gas inlet connection with quick-release coupling and a 9 mm hose connection. Pre-flush rate: 20-25 l/min (3-5 min). Process flush rate: 10-15 l/min. The system also includes an annealing box with internal dimensions of approximately 280 x 230 x 200 mm (w x d x h) carburizing, powder nitriding and other applications. It is made of the same heat-resistant steel 1.4841 (alloy 314), limiting the recommended operating temperature to 800-1100°C.
