Description

ForteBio BLItz System: The ForteBio BLItz system is a compact, label-free instrument that uses bio-layer interferometry (BLI) to measure biomolecular interactions in real time. It requires only ~4 µL of sample and provides rapid kinetic and affinity data (association/dissociation rates and KD values). The system operates on a simple “dip-and-read” principle, allowing direct analysis of proteins, nucleic acids, or small molecules—even in crude samples like lysates or culture media—without labelling or complex preparation. In research, the BLItz is widely used for protein–protein, protein–DNA/RNA, and ligand–receptor interaction studies, antibody screening, and biologics characterisation. It enables quick quantification of target proteins and assessment of binding activity during purification and expression workflows.
