Description

The ÄKTA go™ protein purification system is a compact, automated liquid-chromatography platform optimised for routine laboratory-scale protein purification. The system supports flow rates from 0.01 to 25 mL/min and pressures up to 5 MPa (50 bar), enabling use of affinity, ion-exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography techniques. Controlled by the intuitive UNICORN™ software, it allows quick method creation and interactive process monitoring, while integrating seamlessly with pre-packed columns and resins for reliable, reproducible results. Applications include purification of tagged recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and other biomolecules, and it supports workflows ranging from simple capture to multi-step polishing. The ÄKTA go system offers dependable, efficient protein purification suited to research labs requiring high quality results without the footprint or complexity of full-scale systems. The School of Biological Sciences has two AKTAgo units available for use.
