Description

The Lumibird StreamLine XR is a compact atmospheric doppler scanning LiDAR. It scans a full 360 sky view and measures wind speed profiles to a maximum distance of 10km (but more typically 2-3km) by measuring movement of aerosols in the air. Scan area and rate are fully configurable for a variety of atmospheric research applications. Indirect information is also collected on aerosol concentrations, but wind profiles are the primary application. The unit is self-contained and weatherproof but does require mains power. Commonly used for medium to long term monitoring, this equipment has limited availability.
