Nicole Lauren‑Manuera is the Technical Services Manager within the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury.  She leads the school’s technical services team, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and support of teaching and research laboratories. Nicole acts as the Biological Compliance Officer for the University and offers advice on the import and use of restricted biological material and unwanted organism within the University.

Nicole’s background spans extensive hands‑on experience in laboratory environments, where she has developed strong expertise in technical management, staff coordination, biological compliance and research operations. At UC, she works closely with academic staff, researchers, and students to provide reliable technical support and enable high‑quality teaching and research outcomes.
