Description

Installed in late 2004, the Nishimura 1.8 m telescope is dedicated to the Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics (MOA) project, a national and international partnership. Fitted with MOA cam3, a wide field mosaic CCD camera mounted at prime focus for gravitational microlensing surveys, it is the largest telescope in the world devoted exclusively to microlensing.
