Description

The Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 7 Flex Real-Time PCR system is a versatile, high-throughput instrument. Its interchangeable block formats—ranging from standard 96-well plates to 384-well plates and TaqMan Array Cards—allow groups to shift easily between low- and high-throughput projects without dedicated hardware, supporting everything from undergraduate teaching experiments to intensive postgraduate research programs. The system’s six-channel OptiFlex optics enable robust multiplexing, making it useful for studies requiring simultaneous detection of multiple gene targets or variants. High sensitivity across a broad dynamic range supports accurate quantification of gene expression, microbial loads, or rare variants, while integrated software provides intuitive assay setup, data analysis, and experiment sharing across research teams. Applications extend across genomics, transcriptomics, pathogen detection, HRM-based mutation screening, microRNA work, and protein thermal shift studies.
