Description

The Alphatech Nano DSC is a high-sensitivity differential scanning calorimeter used to precisely measure the heat absorbed or released by macromolecules as they undergo thermally-induced structural changes, providing direct insight into thermal stability and conformational transitions such as unfolding. It detects key thermodynamic parameters like the thermal transition midpoint (Tₘ) and enthalpy (ΔH) of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and other biomolecules in solution, all without the need for labels or immobilization, and with excellent reproducibility using small sample volumes. The instrument’s sensitive thermal control and microcalorimetric design make it ideal for characterising molecular stability, folding, domain structure, and intermolecular interactions, as well as studying the effects of ligands or formulation conditions on macromolecular behaviour. The Nano DSC is suitable for protein stability studies, analysis of folding/unfolding thermodynamics, ligand-binding assessments, and evaluation of vaccine or therapeutic formulations.
