Description

The Cytiva Biacore T200 Real-Time SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) system is a high-performance label-free biomolecular interaction analysis instrument. It measures binding kinetics and affinities in real time by detecting changes in refractive index as analytes interact with immobilised ligands on sensor chips. Key features include high sensitivity across a broad dynamic range, automated fluidics with multiplexed channels for parallel analysis, precise temperature control, and user-friendly software for experimental design, data acquisition, and advanced kinetic modelling. The platform supports flexible assay formats and a comprehensive suite of sensor chips, enabling tailored experiments for diverse molecular classes. It can provide quantitative insight into protein–protein, protein–small molecule, DNA–protein, and antibody–antigen interactions. Applications include characterising binding kinetics and specificity, epitope mapping, lead optimisation in drug discovery, and validating molecular interactions in signalling pathways.
