Description

The Cary Eclipse Fluorescence Spectrophotometer is a sensitive and flexible analytical instrument widely used for measuring the fluorescence properties of molecules. Key features include tunable excitation and emission monochromators, high-resolution optics, and a broad dynamic range that together allow precise quantification of fluorescent signals from a variety of samples. Typical applications include quantifying intrinsic protein fluorescence to study folding and conformational changes, monitoring fluorophore-labeled biomolecules in binding assays, characterising fluorescent probes and dyes, and analysing nucleic acid fluorescence. It also supports advanced studies in photophysics and photochemistry, such as fluorescence quenching, energy transfer (FRET), and excited-state kinetics.
