EquipmentChroma 61860 Regenerative Grid Simulator

Power Research Lab

Description

The Chroma 61860 is a 60 kVA programmable regenerative grid simulator used to reproduce controlled AC grid conditions for testing grid-connected electrical and power electronic equipment. It can operate as a four-quadrant regenerative AC source, allowing it to both supply power to and absorb power from a device under test. The system can simulate voltage and frequency variations, harmonics, dropouts, interruptions and other grid disturbances. Typical applications include testing of PV inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV/V2G systems, UPS equipment, grid-connected converters, microgrid technologies and other devices requiring controlled grid-condition testing.
