The OMICRON MPD 800 is a modular partial discharge measurement and analysis system for detecting and characterising insulation defects in high-voltage electrical equipment. It supports sensitive, standards-compliant PD testing using configurable frequency ranges, fibre-optic measurement connections, synchronous multi-channel acquisition and noise reduction tools. Typical applications include partial discharge testing of transformers, bushings, cables, switchgear, rotating machines, instrument transformers, insulating materials and prototype high-voltage components. The system supports research, teaching, condition assessment, failure investigation and industry consulting in high-voltage engineering.
