I have taught undergraduate and post-graduate courses in economics at UC for over 30 years. My expertise lies in monetary macroeconomics with a focus on monetary policy. At UC I teach a courses in monetary macroeconomics and a course reviewing financial crises, panics, and manias at the undergraduate level. At the post-graduate level, I offer separate courses in monetary policy and monetary/financial theory.

Among my former students are Sharon Zollner, chief economist of ANZ, Nick Tuffley, chief economist of ASB, Dominick Stephens, deputy secretary of Treasury and former chief economist of Westpac, Cameron Bagrie, founder of Bagrie Economics and former chief economist of ANZ, Zoe Wallis of Forsyth & Barr and former chief economist of Kiwi Bank, Kirdan Lees, founder of Sense Partners Consultancy, Christian Hawkesby, deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Oyvinn Rimer, Director, Harbour Asset Management..
