Human-Robot Interaction and Design are at the heart of my research. I am working with the most interactive AI technology to date: social robots. Designing their appearance and behaviour as well as understanding the responses of their users drives my research. With their human-like appearance and behaviour social robots elicit all the expectations and emotional responses we have when interacting with other humans. Human-Robot Interaction is therefore one of the most challenging forms of interacting with AI.
