TEACHING & SUPERVISION SUMMARy
I follow the educational principle of putting the students in charge of their learning goals and activities, which results in highly motivated and self-driven learners. By taking the role of a coach rather than a teacher supports their self-development, and the participatory nature of my courses provides the students with the necessary background knowledge to empower them to master their projects. My lectures are typically a dialogue and I guide the conversation by asking questions instead of simply giving all the answers.
I teach introductory courses in computer science, a postgraduate course on information visualisation, and a research methods course that focuses on statistics.
