My service and leadership focus on strengthening risk science, interdisciplinary research, and connections between research and practice. I contribute to academic and professional communities in risk analysis, resilience and civil systems engineering, including research leadership, postgraduate supervision, peer review, and collaboration across disciplines and sectors.

I also work to strengthen pathways between universities, government, industry and communities so that research questions are informed by practice and research findings can contribute to consequential decisions.
