TEACHING & SUPERVISION SUMMARy

My teaching focuses on risk and uncertainty, systems thinking, resilience, climate adaptation, and the use of quantitative methods to support engineering decisions. I aim to help students move beyond solving well-defined technical problems to understanding interconnected systems, evaluating uncertain consequences, and making defensible decisions where objectives and trade-offs matter. I teach across Civil Systems Engineering and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research.
